Not sure if this is a bug or intentional, but it doesn't seem like the BoP seeds are dropping anymore.

I asked a whole lot of people in my guild, and nobody has seen any seed drop since the patch. We've been farming them too. But after tens of kills not one dropped.

It took me a year to get around to bothering with crafting at all. (I'd FAR rather be out killing Order!)  I leveled Cultivating first, to support leveling the Apothecary with my sorc, and recently attained both rank 40 and 200 Apothecary.  I'm really not inclined to level another gathering profession merely because Mythic either broke or nerfed the hell out of the BoP seed drop rate. 

SOME sort of response here would be greatly appreciated.  If the drop rate is just nerfed to hell, then I'll give up on making stuff for my guild, because I don't enjoy PvE enough to spend countless hours praying a seed MIGHT drop.  If it's merely  an "oops, that's broken", I'd like to know when it gets fixed, so I can return to gathering seeds so I can keep my guild in liniments.

How so? Once you get the seeds you want there's no reason to look for seeds ever again. It's either each seed only lasts for so many uses, or the drop rate is lowered.

The seeds were dropping far to frequently before, as such that it trivialized the importance of them. The correct drop rate for the seeds is now in place, I made sure with the Items guys that the drop rate is correct, so you will indeed see them drop less frequently, as is intended.

I guess I'm confused.  There is a hot fix coming, and yet the current drop rate is correct?  If the current drop rate is correct, that will end my crafting career, because my guildies and I spent a week straight in Bastion Stair with ZERO seed drops, and that rate is just too damned low to bother with.

I agree with this being a terrible idea.  As a cultivator, it's an enormous pain in the arse to spend roughly 3 minutes cultivating a single seed to obtain the mats for a single liniment.  I'd like four of each seed.  I currently have 5 blue seeds, 3 of the same kind (that makes a liniment that only benefits one guild member), out of.. how many types? 

Considering the amount of time spent in a one-week period with zero drops, and the fact that I'd probably end up with more than four of some seeds before I get a single drop of another seed I don't have yet... makes me think of spending 9 months raiding Molten Core in WoW before my mage's sword ever deigned to drop - every single run for 9 months, before our guild saw it drop.  Or, to put it even better... I bought an RvR game, and want to RvR, not farm incessantly for a fookin' crafting item.

I believe he means they hotfix things until they accumulate enough hotfix notes to post them.

That's a pretty brutal change.

I've got all but one seed now, having acquired them well before this 'change', and they were enough of a pain to get. I think I'd have better odds getting a Royal than a liniment seed.

That being said, I guess that's one way to impact the game economy.

If this is currently the way it is, then I'l switching professions.

I've not seen one single seed drop anywhere...BS, Gunbad, City dungeons, LV, TotVL, nowhere.

I'll get my full DP on 3 chars before I get a single seed.  Heck I get more Tyrant drops then I've seen seeds.

Intended?  Here, let me make it so you can't get an RR level, ever, but tell you it's possible and intended.

I'm a bit confused by your post. There'll be a Hot Fix put in to place which will fix it, or it's currently "correct" as it is on the live server?

If the answer is the latter, then I am a little baffled. I can understand nerfing the drop rate, but literally no one in our entire alliance has got a seed drop since 1.3.2. Perhaps the intended nerf actually broke it? I don't know, but the drop rate is absurd as it currently stands (read: 0% chance.)

Guys cool the jets a little bit.  Andy uses specific language so that he can put more information into less time.  This means you can't just skim his message and feel like you've gotten all the information that he was trying to convey.

He stated that the correct drop rate is now in place.  This likely means that when they lowered it from the insane levels it was at (and it truly was you could practically guarantee a seed off every 2-3 lvl 40 bosses) it was lowered too far but that the rate has now been fixed to the drop rate that Mythic desired to see, but that it hasn't been put into hot-fix notes yet because they don't want there to be 1-2 hot fix notes popping up on the patcher every day (so they put the hot fix into practice but wait to notify people of it until they have a reasonable number of fixes to report)

Since it has been confirmed that this is not a bug, then this thread should really contain constructive criticism about the drop rate and not posts of "OMG this is so broken, I hate you Mythic thanks for making me take up cultivating and then nerfing it on me"

Personally I feel that the previous drop rate was pretty high, but I feel that the drop rate should be at a rate where a party should see them drop around 10-15% perhaps higher from the very high level bosses.  This would give players farming them out of Bastion Stair and low level instances a chance to see them (although not a very high one) and give characters that have been around a while a slightly better chance (say seeing 1 seed about every b/b run and having the chance to see about 2 on a full clear of LV)

I feel the droprate is insanely low. I've been farming for weeks without seeing a single drop. Add on top of that the fact that there are quite a few different types of seeds, and my chances of getting the one I actually want are slim.

Now, if it's going to stay that way, can we at least get a confirmation as to what mobs drop them?

So far I've been farming the lvl42 Hero BO bosses, and the lvl40 Hero mob next to the Order bridge in Reikland. No drops. Do these even drop it? Or am I wasting my time?

Also, if it's going to remain so low, there needs to be at least some vague general idea as to how to get specific types of seeds. Maybe Elf mobs (from elf BOs) will drop certain kinds, Dwarf/Greenskin other kinds and Human/Chaos yet another kind. So at least you could generally aim for the type you want.

Having some idea of what seeds might drop from a particular type of mob certainly sounds like a good solution for dealing with a considerably lowered drop rate.  It would make it similar to butchers who know what types of animals can drop what type of apothecary material.  I certainly doubt that Mythic has something like this in place already, but it doesn't sound like it would be especially intensive to change some of the BO bosses to only drop specific seeds based upon their pairings.

On the earlier note, I believe they can drop from any Hero level or higher mob (at least that is what I always noted before the recent lowering of the drop rate, assuming they only changed the rate and didn't remove them from the loot table, they should still be available off of these mobs.)
