Ok as alot of people suspected there has been recent stealth changes to the "flawless armor" tactic. I was curious and decided to bust this myth. Heres the long and short of it.... I tested this out on a: Level 36 Griffon Deadeye, completely unbuffed, un aura'd. Test 1 With my first set of gear i was statted as follows: Wounds: 822 Tough: 572 Initiative: 160 (21.9 chance to be critically hit) I used NO tactics, NO aura, NO shield. I unequiped my old live event jewelry with 2% crit reduction on it and found something interesting - i'll go into it later. My combat parser reported back that over 100hits i was crit 22% of the time. Test 2 Second set of gear statted as follows: Wounds: 763 Tough: 520 Initiative: 300(11.7 chance to be crit) With my 2% crit reduction jewelry unequipped. No auras no buffs, no tactics. Report: I was crit 11% of the time over 100 hits. Test 3 Back to the first set of gear, except this time i used flawless armor. While equiping flawless armor i noticed (right after the sword swinging sound that marks a tactic swap) my 'to be crit' chance under initiative was reduced by 1%. Where usually it never changed. On with the test.... Suprise suprise, my parser actually reported back that i was crit 12% for the 100 hits i took. WOW Test 4 Earlier i mentioned my crit reduction jewelry was interesting? Well if you have any of this jewelry or gear go ahead and re-equip it and see that now under initiative if your jewelry says 2%, the chance to be crit will actually be reduced by 2%. So i lobbed on this jewelry and went with my second set of gear leaving me with a nice little 9.0% chance to be crit (according tothe initiative tooltip) then apply flawless armor which reduced it to 8% and started the test. I was not crit once over the 100 attacks. Summary Flawless armor is reporting that it's reducing your chance to be crit by 1%(while the tooltip says 10%) but its actually reducing it by 10%, before it was multiplicative meaning it reduced your chance to be crit by 10% OF your CURRENT chance to be crit. Jewelry with the stat, reduced chance to be crit is now reporting itself under the initiative stat also. So now say hello to your new best tactic and start stacking your toughness/wounds.
