PVE first to 40 then RR to 80??

Because my timezone is different from the US, and i play US based servers because the OCEANIC onces are sunked. I find that in some time period there are less than 10 players online in T1 and T2. I cant seem to find people to go for RVR in this time period and also i do not want to level my char as it will be pointless because i cannot level up my RR to wear the armours before proceeding to another tier. I feel very restricted about this.
Level now RR later is possible? Or it will make you life very sucky because every freaking armour piece that you own will be defeated by Renown Armour that peeps get in their previous tier.
Will the RR be increased accordingly as your tier increases?
Please help Thx.

T1-3 is pretty much always hopping on Iron Rock - especially orvr during euro prime time. Dunno if that will help you or not. Having renown around your own level is good, if only for the stat perks you get from training. The armour sets are nice...but once you get to T3 -4 you have dungeon sets which can ward and outfit you until you get the renown pieces you want/need. Some of the classes (shaman is one that comes to mind) actually benefit more from the PvE armour (Dark Promise) than the renown stuff. I think it can be done - just make judicial use of tali slots and potions. Another thing - if you are lower renown at rank 40, you'll catch up fairly quickly. Its also easier to gain some of the Tome Unlocks by having a low RR when you get to T4. But I am not sure the disadvantages outwieght the advantages. Such as Renown Gear, Mastery Points etc.
Mythics server transfer policy---Unusub for 60 days and then you can transfer any character to any server(Except for those on PT and DC because they are second class servers). PM me and I can help you. Thanks,Ci-Ci

The majority of Ironclaw guilds/players went to Volkmar when Mythic ignored our survey results and shut down Oceanic. On Volkmar its pretty much 24/7 with rvr going on somewhere. try and keep a balance between RR and level as you will just be sweet candy when you hit 40 and are missing all your rr based stat boosts and gear

Fortunately for you but unfortunately for the game, having high renown really won't make a huge difference and you'll be perfectly capable of getting by at low renown R40 and you'll even gain renown very quickly in T4. Long story short, if you can't get satisfaction in lower tiers then yes it's a valid and common thing to hit R40 then gain renown after.

but bear in mind u gain MORE rr per RVR kill when ur lower RR. so just say two people manage to kill the same person who is rr 60 the first killer is rr 60 as well and will gain somewhere around 700-800 rp for a solo kill the second killer is rr30 and will gain a huge Rp if they manage to kill the same rr60 player. iVe gained 1200+rp with my rr35ish magus when helping to kill players of rr70+ (i think that was a fairly considerable contribution but just the same if you learn to play your class and work with a good group runnning scens/rvr you can go from rr 20something to rr 45+ pretty quickly certain classes will be able to mitigate the difference of RR rank better than others- i find its a bit easier with my magus than marauder just for the advantage of being a ranged class dont worry about it too much

I would work on RR at least up to rank 20 just so you at the very minimum have the rank 4 of your primary stat purchase. otherwise, id wait till rank 40. Youll get so much renown as you kill players that are double/triple your RR that youll fly up to competitive in no time. Try to be a "freenowning nub" and make it to all the zone flips you can while you pve to level, stock up on those medals so you can buy the gear when you have the renown rank.

It is possible. I did that with 4 of my toons (one who almost hit 40, he's 38 atm) on Australia Server (Ironclaw, ILU!) because lower tier is pretty much dead. My BG was 40/16 when she first hit 40, my WE was 40/26 and my shammy was 40/25. The thing is, you -will- get stomped at some point, back then when AoE still king, bright wizard pretty much 2 shots me no matter what I do, but that's not the point, lol. You can grind to 40, of course. With LOTD, BS, and LV armor/weapon drops, I think you can try to be competitive as much as possible before getting the gold sets armor in t4. Aside from the crazy prices people put, you should be able to buy reasonable-priced armor in AH because grinding will definitely net you adequate gold. But to tell you the truth, I say try to level up your renown as much as possible. Even though there's only 1 or 2 parties active, try to get em together, get some BOs or even try for keep if the party sinergies are good (I've been in 7 people keep taking and 6 people keep defending against a whole warband before with success). There's nothing wrong with trying =)

Hi! I am a new player and what I have found very fun is to level up both , renown and ranks by doing Scenarios. In my server , Iron Rock T2 is pretty much alive even in late night hours. Maybe you want to reroll/transfer to a server with higher population. Cheers! Message Edited by PeJe on 10-28-2009 09:25 AM

Would this be a reccomended path for anybody who only gets to play on weekends? My RP is rank 20, RR 16, almost 17. My SW is rank 19, RR 18. Since I only play on weekends, I have IMMENSE amounts of rested EXP, usually 150k on my RP and several times that much on my SW since I have been neglecting him.

My Main I got to 40 via PVE because Darklands was a dead server for us Aussies for rvr and when it shut down and I was transferred to Gorfang my rr was 11. In a surprisingly short time its now 35 and growing....... For my alts I find T1 and T2 on Gorfang busy enuff that its all I do to get them to rank 20 and rr 20 then I flip over to T3 (by now they have full renown or Influence gear so they dont need too much gearing up from the auction house for 7 to 9 levels) and put together BO groups and when I can set up or get into the occsaional very late night warband for keep takes until 25 for great xp and renown (and hopefully enough medallions and pieces to make up the full T3 set) Then at rank 25 I take them to LoTD and PVE grind them to rank 36 buying all my gear (if the price isnt stupid like some on our servers charge) in the auction house and other players then jump feet first into RVR and Scenarios and dont pve grind at all so by the time they hit rank 40 they are in their mid 30's or better again for renown rank. I hope that doesnt sound confusing and it may not be for everyone but for me it works and getting from 25 to 36 in LOTD is wonderfully quick in a good grind group or even solo. Yeah Dark Promise set is very good for Shamans and Zealots alike, not sure about dok.

I think the pve armor > rvr armor applies to most dps classes and healers. MDPS actually gets crit on their warlord though. DPS healers actually get some dps gear off RVR though i think.
