I think that its almost exactly like a regular account in that they can pickany server to create a character on. The only big restriction is the R/RR 10 cap I think.

From FAQ: 

• Endless Trial accounts are restricted to Tier 1 of the Empire versus Chaos pairing. This includes Tier 1 scenarios but does not include access to the Capital Cities or the other racial pairings within the game.
• Endless Trial accounts may receive mail and purchase from the auction house; however, they cannot send mail or create auctions

Most likely everyone else was not rank 11, bolster kicks in for scenarios on all servers. Unless they changed it. Even with bolster though rank 1's wont stand much of a chance, and after a few hours of just playing SC's a person will be rank 11 or close to it.

Hypothetical situation:

Let's say I created a new Mythic Master Account...

Grabbed myself the Endless Trial...

Created a Choppa...

Leveled him to 10...

Mailed him a bunch of twink gear/talismans/potions...

... would I be able to pwn noobs as the ultimate twinked Choppa whenever I wanted?

They will either quit or upgrade.

But yea, no reason for trial accounts to have access to mail or AH.

CAREFUL, you're going up the F2P route!

Exactly. As it is, the game isn't worth full monthly fee to me but I WOULD be willing to pay a smaller portion of the monthly fee for the parts of the game I find to be worthwhile.

A dollar or two a month for full T1 even if I have to pay for a full years worth in one chunk? No problem with that. Another $25-$50 or so a year for T2 even if it is limited to level 20 is a pretty good deal as well. Even if I only played rarely there would be no trouble justifying paying that for a full years access.

There are probably quite a few who feel like I do out there, enough to justify the small effort needed to make it happen.

Edit: As my name implies, I'm a former full subscriber who is currently playing T1 on an endless trial account.

So the concept seems like a solid thing.  But there are  a few problems....

1) where the tier1 systems do work, once people actually start paying and find the broken tier4/end game, they will leave like all others have in the past.

2) folks that are actuall paying customers are now getting bombarded with tells in major cities to hit the AH for these trial accounts.

3)  more or less a repeat of 1, end game is broke.  But at least they'll get to see your broken UI, all the lag that is found on your systems, and listen to everyone that are already paying customers complain about why they should just save their money.

and now for the real question.....

Is this really just the sign of the end of the game?  Your now giving away the game for free...or at least one of the few parts of it that works properly.

I resubscribed and the client runs very smooth compared to last time, and I have no crashes at all now. 

I am very impressed with that.
