Can we get someone to look at possible transfers before 1.3? I'd hate to "fall behind" even moreso because my server lacks the players to play with game mechanics intended for larger populations.
 

Policy for game version 1.34
- Disregard the feasibility of some scenarios in t4 in a 12v12 setting (Mourkain, Gates). Listen to a data mining program of the most played scenarios that has a limited scope due to prior tiered scenario design. Remove fun scenario content offer them as weekend specials and kill your hardcore PvP base by having us play 3 scenarios a week until the specials kick into effect.

Im with you bud I have been trying and trying and trying to get support for this. All of the servers are pretty much unbalanced and perhaps there are too many to begin with. I still don't know whether they (Mythic) pays any attention to the boards because there hasn't been 1 single post or comment from them that they are even looking into it, meanwhile people are quitting left and right....

At this point it would be nice to hear Mythic's answer on possible server transfers. If they are going to allow transfers or not in the future?  It really sucks to play on a server that has hardly anyone left on it.

I agree it would be nice to have a server transfer before the patch or at least an answer from mythic about whether or not there would be transfers.

Destro heavy server with order heavy server. Sounds easy enough. Or just start a new server and do 1 for 1 trades. One order joined so one destro can join. You select you want to move on the server select screen. When your number is up and the other side fills their spot... bam your in.

 

Or do a forces over looked move.Have you guys do the move for us and watch the numbers to make sure you dont get an over flow of one side.

 

 

Or .. just do it.

I see alot of low/low servers that were once high/high and med/med. If Mythic is serious about keeping this game afloat they need to act asap..This is a great game with tons of potentional to be a strong competitor against other mmo's, they started off with a strong communication base and a desire to accomodate it's player base by listening to what players are asking for..it's not like we are asking for the impossible, I don't know any mmo out there that doesn't have a transfer service going..cept Mythic!!!

 

Would be nice to know if we are just sitting here communicating with each other or are they paying attention..Mythic devs, admins, and decision makers should be actively communicating with us and not posting just when patches are coming..

If we see another game upgrade and server merger at the same time then we know nothing was learned from the last round of server mergers and upgrade to 1.2.

How about instead of a merger they just add a transfer service..chances are everyone won't all go to the same destination server.

You know, for the longest time I would have argued that Gorfang is a good server.  I know I enjoy it's player base, but I'm now I'm seeing that it's not enough to be considered a good server.  As weeks go by, I am seeing that Gorfang is certainly dying.  We lose good players daily and people have been losing interest in the game for months.  I've always thought that being on a smaller server would have some advantages, yet night after night, it's a struggle for one realm or the other to field an offense or defense.

 

In comparison to what I hear about the high-poplulation servers.... that they have action every night in all tiers and sometimes daily city pushes, I see that Gorfang is drastically behind in progression.  We're lucky to have a fort push once or twice a week, let alone a city push.  Last night we were lucky to field 2 warbands for Tier 4 open RvR, against overwhelming numbers.  Eventually people got tired of being steam-rolled and logged off for the night.

 

Mythic, for the sake of your playerbase, which obviously determines the sucess of this game you work so hard on, please give some of these low population servers a reprieve.  I can say for myself, that if things don't improve, I'm not going to reroll another server, and I will certainly not pay to transfer my toon to another server.  If things continue to go south, my $15 a month will be just that... my $15.  It's time for server mergers.

I disagree with adding a transfer service.  If you have a destro heavy server where order is getting steamrolled the order people will most likely transfer to a more competitive server.  Then you'll have a destro only server with no RvR at all.  Merging servers is a good idea but I think adding a transfer service will only make things worse.

I would venture no less than 50% of the entire playerbase, after finding out which server was best for "their side", would go there. 


 

MSODAHWOP - Massively Singleplayer Online Diablo2 with an Auction House where you occasionally Wave to Other People. WoW is not the "world's most successful MMORPG", WoW is a "very successful game that calls itself an MMORPG". Once true MMORPG developers realize this, they will make games that can keep 500K people happy concurrently, rather than trying to reach for the 10million stars and crashing like an outtake of Asteroid.

And then you would have guilds like mine, who WANT to be in an underdog realm. Please transfer people from Gorfang!! This server has its ups and downs, but it's totally dead except for maybe 6 hours on a weekday and 14 hours on a weekend.

The difference between 1.2 and 1.3 is that 1.3 is a massive content patch which will put other players at a disadvantage if they aren't merged/transfered before hand. 1.2 was a balance patch with slayers/choppas playing previously played content. Mythic would be doing a disservice to a lot of customers if they did not take on this issue before a content patch.

I agree. We need transfers. The lack of anything to do or anyone to do it with is causing a lot of Gorfang members alone to /quit. We have lost a large amount of fantastic players due to not only lack of contentm, but pure boredom. I hate to say it, but the environment continues the way it does on Gorfang alone, i will also be packing ze bags up. Ive worked too hard to reroll on another server. no thanks...

We have lost 80% of our guild in 2 months, all high rank hard core rvrers not QQers. 

 

months of no response have turned our server into Special olympic quality, with top players leaving the game or server due to lack of competition.

 

I came into Warhammer as a huge fan, and have told people to hang on.  Its no longer feasible, guidls are becoming disfunctional, as a bulk of the population is becoming pug/soloers.

Mythic, you may lose face over merging servers again, but really - what is the alternative here?  You have designed a game that requires a critical mass of people to be successfull.  When servers fail to reach this critical mass you end up with a rapidly deteriorating game experience and thus a reduced subscriber count.  We are at this point now.  If you delay, our server will for all intents and purposes be dead by the time 1.3 goes live.

 

Abandoning a few servers is a better alternative than having to shut them all down.

 

 

Side Note:

 

In this economic climate you are not going to be getting any huge surge of new players anytime soon.  Launching a free expansion also isn't helping bring in new players (though I'm sure it'll help retain existing players).  Why is this?  Boxes. Or rather, lack of new content on the store shelves that might make new players interested.  They see all the WoW content...then they see the lonely Warhammer box all by itself.  If they are new to MMOs, they are gonna pick the one that looks more successfull...and that would be the one with more expansions on the shelves.

I know there are a lot of Mythic haters out there, but I really really love this game. I have such a good time playing but our server is dead during most of the day. I'd love to see more competiton.

Heres Gorfang..   nothing but RvE for the majority of the day, then we have a 3 to 4 hour window a night to do scenarios and pvp, dont miss that window or you'll have nothing to do in game for another 18 hours or so.

 

Peoples hours vary, the people that play in the mornings have Nothing to do.....   Nothing...     there isnt even enough people online to do city dungeons.

 

Maybe what should be put on the Box is:

 

Depending on your server, gameplay is from 7-11pm

Devs are working on Land of the Dead not devs.

 

Come on Mythic, throw us a bone here.  Staying is not an option anymore, we tried for 8 months hoping thing would improve.... man those were the good old days.

 

We are either headed to Dark Craig, or you help us get merge.  I would hate to reroll, but its time for action.

I came to Gorfang cause destro was pounding it 3 to 1.

 

I would love to go to a destro dominated server and put them on Farm like did on Gorfang.
