Nah, the Rat Ogres should be the pets for the Clan Moulder Packmasters. The Packmasters should be the Skaven healers, using their chemicals and such to heal allies and debuff enemies. You know you want to whip a Rat Ogre...maybe even ride on his back like Master Blaster! I only say this for Rat Ogres because they're too stupid to be on their own. Really, they're dumb as bricks. About the extent of a Rat Ogres' mental capabilities is "I'm cold, I'm hot, I'm hungry, or That hurt's." They can take simple orders but that's about it. So they'd make great meat sheilds for healers. Maybe even have the rat ogres gain some armor as the Packmaster levels. Like they start as just being the big muscled brutes with a loin cloth in t1, then in t2 they gain some cheap leather armor, in t3 they have some thrown together chainmail or something, and in t4 they get some big iron plates with spiky bits like Boneripper on the "Greyseer" book cover.

hahaha! good stuff there ^ My prediction: Mythic gonna save money by hosting event that reward us uncommon to very rare Skaven potion after completing 30 out of 60 quests! You'll be transform into what ever rarity base on your potion of your choice for 9 hours! You'll be using the mirror of the other classes. Go speak to your nearest skill NPC to obtain your skills now now now! To change back to your main, you must do 30 out of 40 quests again for your punishment for abandoning the Skaven campaign.
My sub end on Nov 28. Wont re-sub again because i seen and done it all. WAR = best pvp mmo but to much mindless and repetitive stupid pve getting in the way + long travel time + population balance issues.

The Skaven have a brand new look now! Check out the Doomwheel! Be this ram or mount, it will be awesome. Stormvermin A Screaming Bell complete with Grey Seer and Rat Ogre! And the Brand Spanking New Plague Furnace complete with Plague monks. I take back what I said before. THIS would be an epic ram.

A third faction not bound to either Destruction or Order would do so much for this game. It would lure players back in their absolute droves. The third random factor in the T4 campaign would be so ridiculously awesome.

Poison Wind Globadiers I dont think they would be the range dps though, that would be the clan Skyre Engineers(probably) who in turn would have all the assorted technology at their disposal, including the Poison Wind Globes, or the more effective Death Globes.

Can we possibly sticky this to the front page? As we can see, it is a popular subject, as it has 600 kudos, I dunno how many pages, and a bunch of spinoff threads created by people who do not know this one exists. So why not keep this on the front page to keep the topic on one thread?

Dose anyone truely know when we'll see Skaven Playable as a race? I mean it's been some time now an we have yet to see any new playable races, I know WOW is getting I think two new races goblins an wolfmen some time next year,also EQ2 is getting something. I really love to get back into the game but finding it hard with no new races yes add on content is good opens up new places. Come on Warhammer lets see some new playable races already. I know Skaven would bring in people same with others what gives though why are we not seeing them?

I'm sorry guys, but I must once again state my disagreement for the often inflated idea that the third faction suggestion would be the cure for all of WAR's ills. It's a great idea on paper, it does have weight to it, but in general, like in the table top game, there are winners and losers. The best part about either side of the battle though is that you are having fun. Some of the most fun I have had in Warhammer Table top was when I was being decimated, but suddenly some Chaos Dreadnought goes crazy and starts ripping up its own army or whatever, you cannot help but enjoy the moment. Now for WAR, I don't think Mythic will or should just tear what they have apart. The best thing to do is instead have the game be fun either way. Okay, say a keep siege. Its 100 attackers versus 80 defenders. Odds are, the defenders are going to loose the keep, but there is a lot of variance here. The 100 attackers can be pushed back once or twice and the defenders could get a defense bonus. There is of course all sorts of siege to bring into play, crests being dropped for both factions and generally a lot of shenanigans going on. Even if you were to lose the keep, you should still A: have fun, B: Get renown, C: get rewarded in some way, like crests. If WAR could do those three things for nearly every conflict then over population suddenly becomes less of a critical issue. If your faction's city is constantly being raided, cool! You guys get the chance to boot the oppressors and get yourselves some phat lewt!  For these reasons, I think that simply adding a third faction wouldn't make the game more fun or more rewarding. More balanced, perhaps, but if you reduce the toll being out numbered has on a player, then it shouldn't matter and you shouldn't have to tear your game a new one to wedge in a new faction. And who would play Skaven if they were their own race. They would need allies. Even Skaven know what is a fight they can win.

Id instantly delete these characters and join a 3rd faction lol or go to a different server and play as them as I do now with order. The fact is that if you do not add a 3rd faction your not creating any meaningful change in PVP or RVR just more PVE ...in a pvp game thats being flooded by PVE content.
ADD NIGHT GOBLIN FANATICS TO THE GAME!!!!

Heh. I think you could do something else entirely. The longer the Grey Seer survives, the more warpstone he ends up ingesting, making him unstable until he eventually explodes, doing a massive AoE attack to everything (allies and enemies) nearby. Make it something controlled, so there are X attacks that cause the "warpstone" gauge to go up (Stronger attacks), and a few that cause it to go down (Weak attacks / self-debuffs) requiring good resource management. Boom goes the knobbly rat. ^_^
